The mission of Kinney Azalea Gardens is “ To educate the public about the value of their environment, honor nature, & appreciate the beauty through the lens of a garden setting, grounded in the belief that everyone has the right to access and enjoy nature.” This property has been cared for over 4 generations and is dedicated to preserving the beauty of native & uncommon plant life across its 16 acres. Its woodland trails are ideal to showcase Wrapped in Nature.

Beyond the 500 species of unique azalea cultivars that bloom in May, the gardens also boast diverse habitats and ecosystems including a host of pollinator plants that flower throughout the summer, giving new reason to visit once again. I am excited to share Wrapped in Nature during this bloom season.

The Labyrinth is where Wrapped in Nature was born. I was invited by the Eco-Land Art Project to host a fashion show at the Spiral to honor its one-year anniversary. However, once I experienced the stone landmark in person, I realized the work needed to move beyond clothing and respond to the land itself in a more organic way.
