I engage the group around a shared sense of collecting nature, introduce the group to my work and how it is worn, and then lead a workshop into creating their own wearable tapestries. I bring a collection of 20 foraged materials, and encourage participants to bring their own. I can also include hands-on foraging if the setting and weather permits. The workshop includes nature education of each species, and a chance to look at it as a design element, a building block, and a muse for writing & movement. Finished works are shared as a group with optional titles and expressive poses.

I engage the group around a shared sense of appreciating nature, introduce the group to my headpieces and how they are worn, and then lead a workshop into creating their own wearable fascinators. I bring a collection of 20 dried, foraged  blooms, and encourage participants to bring their own. I can also include hands-on foraging if the setting and weather permits, for a fresh bloom option. The workshop includes nature education of each species, and a chance to look at it as a design element, and a muse for writing & movement. Finished works are shared as a group with optional titles and expressive poses.

These workshops are held ideally before a performance in hopes that guests will wear their creations to the show. I can also offer style advice for guests based on their finished pieces.

The workshop begins as a storytelling event, where I unveil my own treasure chest of nature and all that it holds. The diversity of the objects, and the way they are presented serve as a springboard for the group to feel invested in their own designs. 2 levels of design: shoebox or wood boxes.
